Benthic samples were taken from three areas (South Fair Isle, St Magnus Bay and 5 km west of Burra, off the Shetland peninsula) with five sample taken at each site with a 0.1m2 Day grab. Species were sieved on a 0.5mm mesh and identified to species level and macro faunal abundance recorded. Station positions are available. Hydrocarbon analysis was also recorded. The project was on behalf of the Ecological Steering Group on the Oil Spill at Shetland (ESGOSS) This data has been entered under a Defra/NBN contract CRO313.
