Information from previous surveys has been incorporated into the mapping process. A conservations assessment has been made of marine biotopes within the survey area. The study ends with options for appropriate management techniques discussed in the accompanying Coastal Zone Management (CZM) study and an evaluation of the usefulness of biotope mapping to the preparation of CZM plans. Approximately 190 km of track data were collected. 60 drops were made with the video camera to ground-truth the acoustic data, giving over three hours of recording sea floor. The remote survey of the sea floor was done using a RoxAnn processeor sampling a return echo from a 200kHz echo sounder. MICROPLOT was used to display track data as it was being collected, it was then stored so that it could be re-run and edited at a later stage. Marine Recorder survey number: MRNE013400000046
