The survey used standard MNCR methodology for littoral habitats. Conspicuous species were identified in situ. The main species and habitats were identified along a transect and then mapped using GPS to identify locations/boundaries. The habitats were matched to the UK biotopes classification and mapped to as large a scale as possible to fit a single A3 sheet.
