A colonial hydroid was attached to the mouth of a sluice pipe on the borrow dyke side, moving in the water as it flowed in. A small sample of this hydroid was taken for identification and was found to be Laomedea flexuosa. A day later this specimen was examined again (with a x20 stereo microscope) and a 5 mm long sea slug, very similar in the color to the Laomedea, was seen moving along its branches. This was subsequently identified as Tenellia adspersa, which is said to feed on Laomedea.
