Three replicate grab samples were screened over a 1mm mesh and fixed for macrofaunal analysis, two of which were analysed, with the third retained in case of statistical discrepancy between the first two replicates. The remaining sample was subsampled for physico-chemical analysis (particle size, organic carbon, hydrocarbon and metal analysis).
