These surveys aim to record as many species as possible as being present within a set survey area over 24-hours. The Wembury Bioblitz took place on 21st - 22nd August 2009. Data was collected by volunteers, taxonomic experts and professional scientists over two days (24 hours). Species were identified in the field and verified afterwards by taxonomic experts and scientists at the Marine Biological Association (MBA). The first record of each species found to be present within the survey area is was recorded, along with the verifier. Some surveys include counts/abundance information and extra information associated with the record.
