The survey used acoustic surveying, undertaken using a RoxAnn processor, to produce a map of the sea floor based on it's acoustic properties. Ground truthing was conducted using a towed video recorder and grab sampling. The biological data gained from the ground truthing was then matched with the acoustic data to validate the data and produce biotope information. Finally, colour maps were produced to illustrate the geographic distribution of the biotopes present within the survey area. In addition, biotope descriptions are included.
