Exposure scale, based on Ballantine, (1961), site name with a grid reference, date collected, number collected and variation in mean length of shell is recorded. Event reference is the sample number; included in the paper for reference; devised for Crothers (1971) in which they emphasised the location - subsequent samples were simply allocated the next available number.
