Juveniles were found in the same area as the adults, mainly in crevices of clinker pieces that had originated from coal-driven ships formerly using the pier. Collections were made by SCUBA diving during 1981, 1982 and 1983. The growth rate of the urchins was estimated, techniques are described in the report
