dataset
Samples for analysis of the macrobenthic fauna and sediment particle size were collected with an 0.1 m2 Hamon Grab from RV Cirolana in 2001-2002 and from RV Cefas Endeavour in 2003-2004. All locations were sampled between May and July. Replicate samples were collected from areas of the sea bed which had been identified by the Electronic Monitoring system as being of high and low dredging intensity. A 500ml subsample was removed for sample analysis. The Remaining sample was washed over 5mm and 1mm sieves. The two fractions were backwashed into separate containers. In Addition, sidescan sonar, photographic and multibeam surveys were also undertaken.
