This has been a purely voluntary study on the status and recruitment of bass in the Helford River commenced in 1994, and the results were published annually by the Helford Voluntary Marine Conservation Area (HVMCA) Group. In 2000 the study was extended to include the Fal with the results published in that year by the Environmental Records Centre for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (ERCCIS). That study was a continuation of the work done in the Fal on juvenile bass by D.F. Kelley and the late John Bridger. These results are for the years 1996 to 2005. N.b. Lengths (cm) for Dicentrarchus labrax, Platichthys flesus and Mugilidae indicate Fork Length.
