The survey setup is part of an overall strategy to reduce the UXO risk to ALARP (as low as reasonably possible). The survey is designed to provide information needed primarily for the following: -UXO survey for avoidance prior to Geotechnical investigations -Mitigation of risk to geotechnical equipment from boulders and debris -Mitigation of risk to objects of archaeological significance during Geotechnical investigations -Morphological Seabed Assessment -Provision of shallow sub-surface conditions to Offshore Supervisors during Geotechnical investigation.
