The scans are of original hand written records, and does not currently include a fully digitised version. There are scanned cards from 3 different research vessels (Clupea, Explorer, and Scotia), with a total of 5,877 pages scanned. The data are split into annual collections per vessel. THere are break or missing years in most time series. Unfortunately, there is no information about the mesh size of rings, but generally appear to include a pick-out/separation of euphausiids into a second ring. The back of cards include counts of euphausiids (where seprated out) or all zooplankton (where only the first ring it used for weights). Calculations for converting the raw dry weight per haul to g/100 m3 is included on the cards, but it may not be possible to retrieve the volume information to independently verify the data. Spatial coverage is a generic area for Scottish waters, and may not accurately reflect the actual data selection.
