The minilogger, which records temperature at the site, is deployed below a buoy at a depth of 3 metres. All of the other readings are taken weekly by boat, close to the minilogger site. Salinity samples are analysed using a Guildline Portasal Salinometer, which is calibrated annually by the supplier. In house software checking routines identify outliers within the metadata and sample data, although no guarantee can be made that all bad entries are identified. Nutrient and chlorophyll results are passed to us by Marine Lab analytical chemists who adhere to UKAS standards.
