The project is located 8km off the Yorkshire coast, just north of Hull. The WMR OWF spans 35 sq. km, within which 35 x 6MW capacity turbines will be installed. The original consents were granted for the WMR OWF in 2010, following an alteration to the project envelope these were amended and updated in 2012:  A Marine Licence (L/2011/00305) in October 2012 (This report is based on version 3 of the Marine Licence)  Consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 in November 2011, varied October 2012; and  Planning permission under Section 90 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 in October 2012. Pre-construction monitoring surveys and assessments have been undertaken on behalf of Westermost Rough Ltd (WMR Ltd), a subsidiary of DONG Energy, to comply with condition 3.1.17 of the WMR OWF Marine Licence (L/2011/00305/3). This Pre-construction Environmental Monitoring Report has been prepared on behalf of WMR Ltd for submission to the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) in order to fulfil conditions 3.1.19 and 3.1.21 of the Marine Licence.
