The ornithologists then identify the images and return the results. As part of this process, a quality check of twenty percent of the data is carried out to ensure that less than ten percent disagreement is achieved between the ornithologists. For this quality check, a second review of 20% of the data is carried out blind to the first review. The output of these results are then compared and any discrepancies reviewed by trained ornithologists. In the case of any significant discrepancies, the images are re-reviewed by a third ornithologist who acts as an adjudicator in the process to make a decision on the correct observations.
