From July 2013 to September 2014, a 15 month programme of offshore bird and marine mammal baseline surveys, together with an analysis of existing data on bottlenose dolphins, was undertaken. These surveys and analysis will underpin TVL’s application to the Department of the Environment Northern Ireland (DoE NI) Marine Division for a marine licence to develop the tidal energy array.
