Global Renewable Energy Partners (GREP) wish to apply to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for permission to construct an offshore wind farm on an area in the southern Thames Estuary known as the Kentish Flats. Prior to applying to the Government for Consents to construct the proposed Kentish Flats offshore wind farm, GREP must supply information to allow Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The first stage of this process is to identify key issues through discussions with a wide range of consultees before providing the proposed details of the Environmental Statement (ES) to the DTI, and a number of other statutory consultees. The initial scoping study was completed by Emu on behalf of GREP, following considerable and widespread consultation by GREP.
