A water vole and badger survey was conducted within the study area, none were found. Pillboxes were checked for bats, none were found. Drainage ditches were checked for signs and suitability for great crested newts. Some areas were deemed suitable and will require further survey at the appropriate time of year. Several invertebrates were observed during the survey period and it is recommended that further survey work is carried out for invertebrates. It has been recommended that cabling works in the intertidal zone is located to the east of the study area to avoid identified locations of eelgrass and mussel beds. However, the intertidal zone is subject to a separate study and covered by a separate report.
