A review was then carried out on the data to gain a better understanding of the amount of data and formats available and of any issues that may hinder standardisation. A combination of automated and manual techniques were used to search and examine the data. The series Zone 3 – Dogger Bank and Burbo Bank Extension were reviewed in more detail as case study areas and are discussed further in Bow et al. (2023b).
