From this review, 25 potential landfall locations were identified on Anglesey and of these 24 locations, 11 of the landfall locations were identified as providing the most promising solutions for a grid connection on Anglesey. A series of site visits were conducted March 2011 to verify the engineering suitability of the 11 selected landfall locations and to support the recommendations made. Sketch maps and photographs were taken of each location during the site visits. The site visits were limited to existing roads and tracks and any location suitably visible from such roads. No access to private land was permitted during the site visits.
