The survey was undertaken by John Thompson MIEEM on 14th March 2013 in accordance with the methodology described in the Handbook for Phase 1 Habitat Survey (JNCC, 2010). In addition to the field survey a desk study exercise has been undertaken gathering biological records and reviewing statutory and non-statutory nature conservation designations in the vicinity of the site.
