The wind farm has a total of 67 Siemens 6.0 MW Wind Turbine Generators and one Offshore Substation (OSS) approximately 32 km off the North Norfolk coast in water depths ranging from 17 m to 24 m. The aim of the geophysical survey was to acquire accurate high-resolution bathymetry data along the export cable route and throughout the OWF area, identifying any areas of concern including exposed cables. True series The objective with the processing workflow was to create a DTM that provided an as true as possible representation of the seafloor with the highest possible detail. The processing scheme for MBES data comprises two main scopes, horizontal and vertical levelling in order to homogenize the dataset and data cleaning in order to remove outliers. In the first stage the MBES data was corrected and compensated for the variations in sound velocity, tide, ray bending, and other environmental/atmospheric effects and referenced to the survey vertical datum. Post processed navigation and attitude derived from both inertial measurement unit (IMU) data records and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) recorded position is applied to the data. This stage was performed using Caris HIPS. In the second stage the MBES data underwent iterative analysis and corrective measures to ensure that all per definition outliers were flagged as rejected and that the dataset met the required specifications. This included both manual editing and the use of analytical algorithms such as the CUBE filtering functionality and S-CAN SCALGO filtering followed by manual verification of the affected area to ensure objective were met. This stage was performed using the software suites Caris HIPS & EVIA NaviModel Producer. The SSS data was of suitable quality throughout survey operations.
