The geotechnical site investigation consists of: seabed cone penetration test with pore pressure (CPTU) and vibrocore sampling; drilling with sampling and down-the-hole in situ tests e.g. CPT’s (DTH-CPTs); onshore laboratory testing, and data reporting. The reports planned under the contract: Report 1.1: Field Report – CPTUs and Vibrocores, Report 1.2: Field Report – Geotechnical Boreholes, Report 2.0: Factual Report, Report 2.1: Factual Report – cyclic testing. The first geotechnical campaign has been performed by Geo in April 2015 and comprised of 4 seabed CPTUs and 4 vibrocores carried out along the export cable route and of 1 seabed CPTU carried out at Array 2. The second geotechnical campaign has been carried out by Geo from 13th of June until 17th of August 2015 and comprises of geotechnical boreholes at 5 wind turbine locations along Array 2, including DTH-CPTUs, offshore and onshore laboratory testing and other optional tests (upon client’s request) such as: SCPTU, PS-Logging, HRAT, 3ACS and HPD tests. The offshore operations were performed by Geo from the vessels ‘Blue Alfa’ and ‘Blue Beta’ owned by Blue Star Line A/S.
