The first being the local residents who were targeted via a door drop, public meetings and editorial in the local press. The second being national and local organisations called ‘Stakeholders’ in this document, who were likely to be affected by the proposed windfarm. The door drop was deemed to be very successful in that a large no. of residents filled in and returned the form attached to the leaflet. Because the total returned was so large, it was possible to use the data for a research study, and has given GREP an indication of which issues are the most serious and how strongly these are felt.
