The raw data for the analysis of noise sources is derived from measured data taken on the 1.2MW Seagen turbine at Strangford Lough; this comprised data sets acquired by Kongsberg and by ISVR, supplemented by data acquired by ISVR under a TSB funded project and data on construction noise measured by Subacoustech Ltd]. A semi-empirical underwater noise propagation model has been derived from the same data sets to predict the sound propagation to large distances.
