An alternative foundation solution has been proposed for the project comprising of quadrupod steel jacket structures. This document contains a new assessment of seabed scouring for this alternative foundation. Global scour could be between 0.3D – 1.3D for a series of piles, which would give an estimate of global scour of between 0.5m – 2.0m. It is considered that given the influence of the cross-members, global scour is likely to be at the lower end of the estimate, that is, 0.5m. The maximum extent of this is likely to be of the order of twice the width of the whole structure, that is, 40m. Therefore, the maximum total scour depth for the structure as a whole is likely to be of the order of 2.8m, or 1.84D.
