The survey area is located about 8 km off the Yorkshire coast, north of Hull, England and is divided in two sections; Export Cables and Inter Array area. The purpose of the survey was to inspect anomalies/objects and to investigate the two proposed Export cables and the Inter Array cables inside the wind farm. The survey comprised a geophysical section with acquisition of MBES; SSS and SBP data and ROV visual inspections. The geophysical survey work included MBES, SSS and SBP (chirp or C-Boom) and was carried out along the two proposed Export cable routes and one extra route (Extension) north of Export cable route 1. Each Export cable route was surveyed with 7 parallel lines and the Extension with 8 parallel lines. The interpretation and processing of the data was performed onboard M/V Icebeam and further and at the MMT office. All geophysical survey was limited to daylight work due to presence of fishing gear in the area. Geophysical survey in the Export cable area between KP 2.9 and KP 0 was not acquired by M/V Icebeam due to fishing gear at KP 2.9.The nearshore part of the survey between KP 0.6 and KP 2.9 was performed by vessel M/V Seabeam. Since it would be hazardous to tow equipment at normal depth due to fishing gear the SSS and SBP data quality was reduced. The positioning of the tow fish with fixed layback instead of USBL has an impact on the accuracy, MBES data will be used to correlate target positions. At the larger water depths towing the SSS approximately 3 m below surface is not either optimal for data quality. The instruments also become more weather sensitive from the heave of the vessel.
