The specific objectives of the review are as follows: • Review the potential value of high definition cameras to collect suitable data from aerial bird surveys, and make recommendations on the potential usage and effectiveness of this emerging technique. (2004), in order to determine whether the range of methods recommended in Camphuysen et al. (2004) are being used appropriately. • Based on the results of the review, identify whether the Camphuysen et al. (2004) recommendations can be refined, or whether there are potential areas for improvement in the interpretation of the Camphuysen et al. (2004) guidance. • Review the analysis of aerial and boat-based bird survey data used for Round 1 and Round 2 windfarm applications and identify value of methods used. • Based on the data analysis review, recommend the most appropriate methods of data analysis and presentation.
