The planned work involved the collection of sediment cores at pre-planned locations identified by The Crown Estate (TCE) over four distinct regions (Humber, East Coast, Thames Estuary, Eastern English Channel) off the Southern and Eastern Coast of England. The objectives of the survey are to acquire high-quality seabed samples using a 4m vibrocorer aimed at producing an assessment of sand and gravel resources at the planned locations. The project specification required the vibrocorer to be deployed within 40m of the planned location with a second deployment required in case the min. 3m target recovery wasn't achieved on the first attempt.
