Emu Ltd was commissioned by Centrica Renewable Energy Limited in 2009 to undertake a post construction hydrographic monitoring survey of the Lynn and Inner Dowsing wind farm sites and export power cables to shore in order to determine the bathymetry, seabed types and distribution of benthic habitats in the wind farm and associated surrounding areas

The hydrographic survey was carried out using the vessel FPV Morven on a 24 hour operational basis simultaneously using the below Sensors :
A fully motion aided Reson 8101 multibeam echosounder
A Klein 3000 sidescan sonar system
An Applanix POS MV precision attitude and positioning system
The drop down video and grab survey was conducted using the survey vessel Arie Dirk. Daily progress logs can be found in Appendix B.
Methodology used to achieve the project objectives are Horizontal Positioning, Swath Bathymetry survey, Sidescan Survey, Multibeam Acoustic Backscatter Survey, Drop Down Video and Grab Survey and Video and Stills Data Analysis
