In this study, the updated and improved wave and flow conditions were extracted from the models calibrated in the Lincs study area (HR Wallingford, 2008) in the four nearshore points defined in the previous HR Wallingford report. The studies found that 1-year and 100-year extreme wave heights were 3.8m and 5.5m respectively, with tidal currents often exceeding operational thresholds and the largest waves predominantly from the northeast. Conclusions highlighted the importance of these findings for construction, operations, and maintenance planning, as well as extreme event preparedness. Recommendations included accounting for future sea level rise, integrating updated data for weather window planning, and using revised hydrographic reference levels to support safe and efficient wind farm operation. This is a more sophisticated model that the HINDWAVE/TELURAY wave model used in HR Wallingford (2004). This SWAN model was calibrated against various measurements in the Lincs wind farm study (HR Walligford, 2008) and provides an accurate description of the waves across the area of the wind farms.
