The proposed wind farm is located approximately at a site which ranges from 6.5 km (Array 2) to 17.1 km (Array 4) off the coast from Blyth harbour. Fugro GeoConsulting Limited (Fugro) was requested by EDF to perform a geotechnical site investigation at the site to provide soils information to assist with the proposed development of the Blyth site. The fieldwork was performed in accordance with NORSOK Standard G-001 and instructions received from EDF. The site investigation consisted of cone penetration testing (CPT) and downhole sampling operations and was performed from 4 November to 10 November 2014.
