Precision Marine Survey Ltd (PMSL) carried out the survey work and undertook analysis of subsequent biological and seabed sediment samples. This document presents the pre-construction benthic baseline monitoring survey results which will form a robust baseline for comparison with subsequent post-construction benthic monitoring surveys. This report fulfils the requirements of Marine Licence L/2012/00217/12. Once published, there will be no limitations on public access. Reference was also made to Guidelines for conduct of benthic studies at aggregate extraction sites (Ware and Kenny, 2011). The parameters measured were: • Particle size analysis (PSA) in accordance with BS 1377 (Part 2: 9.2 / 9.4); and • Benthic analysis, using a National Marine Biological Analytical Quality Control scheme (NMBAQC) participating laboratory.
