This includes calculated estimates of hours fished and value of the fishery both in the local area and for the Ormonde Project area. Given the highly variable nature of the fishing industry, these estimates have by necessity been based on a series of board assumptions; however, they have been made after discussion with local fishermen and are thus considered to be valid. Nevertheless, the estimates produced should be treated with appropriate caution. The Estimates below should be read in conjunction with the text in Section 7.2.4 of the full Ormonde Project Environmental Statement.
