The Reson Seabat 8125 multibeam operates at 455 kHz, generates 240 beams per ping and has an angular sector of 120°. The system is capable of providing a swath coverage up to 6x water depth. The maximum ping rate for the 8125 system is 30 pings per second. The beam widths in both the longitudinal direction and cross direction are 0.5° and are of equal angular size regardless of whether they are nadir or outer beams. The Seabat 8125 echosounder does meet IHO & USACE Class 1 standards.
