Subsequent annual reports will present results from monitoring surveys during construction and operation, and seek to assess whether any changes seen are a result of wind farm construction or operation. The conditions of consentincluded a number of environmental monitoring requirements that werebased on the potential impacts identified within the EIS. An outline of the proposed monitoring programme to fulfil those requirements was submitted to the Marine Consents Environment Unit (MCEU) in 2003, which resulted in a number of comments and suggestions from their consultees. Revised methods for several aspects of the monitoring have since been agreed with the regulators, and the final methods are detailed in this report. The report includes both offshore and onshore elements and these have been dealt with separately within the document, with the intertidal section being grouped with other offshore elements.
