The proposed Lincs offshore wind farm area lies on the eastern (seaward) side of the consented Lynn and Inner Dowsing wind farms, approximately 8-12km off the coast of Lincolnshire. Two export cables will connect the wind farm to the grid, with landfall to the east of the mouth of the River Nene. This dataset was collected with a Klein 3000 system with SonarPro acquisition software over both the cable route and the wind farm area (Emu 2008). A range of 100m was used throughout and data were collected at both high (500kHz) and low (100kHz) frequencies. Data were recorded using WGS84 UTM zone 31 North co-ordinates. The quality of the sidescan sonar data was variable, with the sea state and vessel noise both adversely effecting the data quality. The overall data quality is variable, ranging from average to poor for the sites reviewed by WA.
