The development of the wind farm will include the installation of an export cable running from the wind farm site across The Wash to a landfall near Sutton Bridge (Lincolnshire). Additional survey works of the Lincs Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) were to be undertaken by EGSi in relation to the previous pre-construction geophysical survey works of the site carried out in Summer 2010 by EGSi. The survey requirements were for sub-bottom profiler (SBP) surveys along both the east and west export cable routes. The intention of the survey was to obtain high quality continuous shallow geology information, of the top 3 metres below the seabed, along the full length of both cables from the shallowest point of approach to the substation structure which will inform installation decisions.
