Effects may range from short to long term, and the assessment will consider timescales up to 25 years. Specific issues that relate to the proposed development are: • Evaluation of potential impacts upon any sensitive areas protected for their nature conservation value in proximity to the project; • Evaluation of impacts to areas identified in the Northumberland and North Tyneside Shoreline Management Plan 2 (SMP2) as being sensitive to change, where changes may impact upon the adopted preferred plan; • Evaluation of the proposal upon the likelihood of an increased requirement for dredging of the navigation channel at Blyth Harbour.
