This survey vessel and the on-board grab and camera system were also used for the 2009 survey. Aquadynamic is able to stay on position using dynamic positioning (DP) and differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) (providing sub-metre accuracy for vessel position and typically ±2m accuracy for benthic equipment deployment depending on water depth and currents).
