The methodology comprised instrument deployment (including ADCP/AWAC moorings), onboard calibration of survey and water quality equipment, systematic in-field water sampling at multiple depths and tidal stages, and subsequent laboratory analysis of suspended solids using gravimetric techniques referenced to established standards, despite encountering some sensor issues. The survey found very low turbidity (maximum 1.4 NTU) with the highest suspended solids concentrations in the upper water column, and concluded that waters at Race Bank exhibited low turbidity with variable sediment distribution. The report recommended ongoing monitoring using robust and calibrated equipment and methodical, diverse sampling strategies to ensure long-term, reliable assessment of water quality parameters.
