Metadata: AUDIT OF CURRENT STATE OF KNOWLEDGE OF SUBMERGED PALAEOLANDSCAPES AND SITES
Abstract:
This project provides an audit of the current state of knowledge of submerged palaeolandscapes and sites within the confines of England's inshore and offshore region, as defined in the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2010. Intertidal sites are not specifically included in the audit unless directly part of an offshore project (e.g. cable routes, pipelines). The aim of this project is to raise awareness and widen understanding of the results of offshore projects and surveys which have been undertaken for academic or commercial purposes through appropriate dissemination aimed at a professional, but not necessarily specialist, audience.

| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | AUDIT OF CURRENT STATE OF KNOWLEDGE OF SUBMERGED PALAEOLANDSCAPES AND SITES |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 5859712c-746c-3b59-8cf8-0351a43242be |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | waherita1-145303 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | dataset |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2012-05-01 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2013-03-11 |
| Spatial resolution | This describes the spatial resolution of the dataset or the spatial limitations of the service. | inapplicable |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |
