| Other details | ||
| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 2130 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2022-2025 Pollack FISP catch and size records from recreational charter vessels |
| Alternative title | The purpose of alternative title is to record any additional names by which the dataset may be known. | Sampling records of pollack (Pollachius pollachius) in ICES sea area viie, Size and Catch Per Unit Effort data from April 2022 until April 2025 |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 8f1de830dcd76ffec1a8a1920654dd73 |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | PF0002023 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | dataset |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2022-04-15 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2025-04-01 |
| Vertical extent (min) | A positive or negative decimal number, for example, the shallowest depth recorded if subtidal, or, if intertidal, the lowest point recorded. | 5.0000 |
| Vertical extent (max) | A positive or negative decimal number, for example, the deepest depth recorded if subtidal, or, if intertidal, the highest point recorded. | 100.0000 |
| Vertical extent reference | This descibes the vertical coordinate reference system as referred to in the EPSG register of geodetic parameters. (epsg-registry.org) | urn:ogc:def:crs:EPSG::5861 |
| Spatial resolution | This describes the spatial resolution of the dataset or the spatial limitations of the service. | inapplicable |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | continual |
| Abstract | The abstract provides a clear and brief statement of the content of the resource. | The data comprises the size, catch and effort data of pollack (Pollachius pollachius) captures from 14 recreational charter boats based in ICES sea area viie from April 2022- April 2025. Additional information on stomach content analysis is listed and otolith collection is provided |
| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | Catch and size data are provided by charter skippers using excel spreadsheets. Fish are measured to 1 cm. Updates are provided to the data controller either on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Data are combined into a central spreadsheet and checked by two individuals. Each fish is designated a sample number and otolith and stomach content analysis is linked to this individual sample number. All statistical analysis is performed using the R language and the code is freely available |
