Abstract:
DONG Energy West of Duddon Sands (UK) Ltd., and ScottishPower Renewables (WoDS) Ltd. awarded the Rock Installation contract for West of Duddon Sands – cable crossings Project to Boskalis Offshore. The report in this series, Project Installation Procedures (PIP), has been prepared to provide information regarding the following aspects of the project: • Scope of work; • Working methods; • Materials to be used; • Quality control procedures; • Planning; • Deliverables At four crossing locations the exposed cable will be covered with rock. A filter layer has been installed prior to the final armour layer. A separation layer has been installed prior to the cable lay.
