Metadata: 2015, EGS, Lincs, Hydrographic, Geophysical and Benthic Survey
Abstract:
EGS International Ltd (EGSi) were contracted by Centrica Renewable Energy Limited (CREL) to undertake the 2015 post construction (Year 3) hydrographic and geophysical surveys of the Lincs and L and ID (Lynn and Inner Dowsing) windfarm array cable routes. Additionally, a benthic survey was required for the Lincs OWF post construction survey. This series details the operations and results of the surveys.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 19297 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2015, EGS, Lincs, Hydrographic, Geophysical and Benthic Survey |
| Alternative title | The purpose of alternative title is to record any additional names by which the dataset may be known. | Hydrographic, Geophysical and Benthic Survey |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 98a8bd1f-0727-4dbc-9bc4-f4dec52372fe |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | TCE-932 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2015-10-19 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2015-11-13 |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | The Lincs array cables and the Lincs foundation scour survey operations were carried out onboard the EGS Pioneer a 24m survey vessel with a 4m draught operated by EGSi. The vessel operates under the MCA Workboat Code and DNV Class +1A1 Ice-C. The vessel is permanently mobilised with a suite of hydrographic and geophysical survey equipment which is regularly calibrated and verified. Details of the equipment calibration and verification are presented in the EGS Pioneer Mobilisation Report (Document no. LN-O-EV-013-0117-400012-005); as the majority of the operations on the L&ID and Lincs OWFs were carried out concurrently, a single vessel mobilisation was carried out. Additionally, a benthic survey was required for the Lincs OWF post construction survey. The vessel mobilisation was carried out the 19th October 2015 in Grimsby. The Lincs benthic survey operations onboard the Wessex Explorer were conducted between 20th and 28th October 2015 with the final demobilisation taking place on 29th October 2015. During the survey operations, the vessel was operating out of Wells-next-the-Sea. The survey operations were carried out on a 12-hour basis following the regional tide schedule. During the survey the vessel was alternating between the stations based on tidal and weather restrictions in order to maximise efficiency and minimise transit times. |
