Abstract:
The Marine Aggregates Licensing Round plan level HRA was undertaken by The Crown Estate to assess the potential implications of the 2021/2022 Marine Aggregates Plan on European sites, as required under the Habitats Regulations. The Crown Estate also elected to undertake a Marine Aggregates Licensing Round Marine Conservation Zone Assessment (“MCZ Assessment”), which assessed the potential impacts of the plan and was intended to provide The Crown Estate with the information it requires to fulfil its duties in relation to MCZs under section 125 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 (“MCAA”). The following documents have been produced by ABPmer Ltd and are provided within this series: General Principles Document, HRA and MCZ Screening, Report to Inform Appropriate Assessment (RIAA) and MCZ Assessment, and the following undertaken by The Crown Estate: Record of the Habitats Regulations Assessment.
