Metadata: 2017, Bibby HydroMap, Teesside, Geophysical Surveys
Abstract:
Bibby HydroMap were commissioned by EDF Energy Renewables, in July 2017, to undertake a 350m x 350m debris survey around turbine 14B on the Teesside Offshore Wind Farm (OWF), prior to the emplacement of a jack-up rig on the site. Once mobilised, the client also requested a further survey of the remainder of the wind farm site. The location of the windfarm is presented in Figure 1, below and the relevant turbine identified. The survey was completed under Bibby HydroMap’s Terms and Conditions and was carried out between 24/07/2017 and 30/07/2017. The main objective of the surveys was to identify any object or conditions, which may constrain the emplacement of the jack-up rig.

| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2017, Bibby HydroMap, Teesside, Geophysical Surveys |
| Alternative title | The purpose of alternative title is to record any additional names by which the dataset may be known. | Geophysical Surveys |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 62d210c0-11e5-4c86-9c0b-ee24fccc6245 |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | TCE-2057 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2017-07-23 |

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | Data acquisition was undertaken from Bibby HydroMap’s own dedicated shallow draft vessel MV Proteus of Liverpool, equipped with Reson T20-P multibeam echo sounder, Edgetech 4200MP side scan sonar, GeoAcoustics 2-pot pinger, G882 magnetometer, Applanix POS MV IMU and C-Nav 3050. The weather conditions onsite have been favourable during the survey. The prevailing wind direction and resulting wind waves for the duration of the survey were from the south-south west sector. Tidal currents were negligible. System Configuration: MBES – Settings were tuned during mobilisation and left unchanged for the duration of the survey, except for the coverage angle and beam steering. SSS – The range of the SSS was set to 75m to achieve the required 125% overlap which meant that the SSS was flown at 7.5m above the seabed. Additional Information: Survey was unaffected by tides. A safe distance was kept from fixed structures during all stages of acquisition. Primary GNSS positioning was provided by a C-Nav 3050G GNSS system using the C-NavC2 correction service. The C-Nav system is a globally available Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) using Precise Point Positioning (PPP) techniques that offer accuracies of 0.08m XY and 0.15m Z RMS. Secondary GNSS positioning was provided by a Hemisphere Vector VS330 GNSS Compass. The VS330 system delivers sub-metre dGPS positioning accuracy, when using decoded correction data. The VS330 system was set to receive differentially corrected data from the Space Based Augmentation System (SBAS) European GPS Navigation Overlay System (EGNOS). |
